Rui Si, descendent of the indigenous group Paiwan from the remote mountains of Taiwan, is also the receiver of the Best Singer Golden Melody Award. Once a village elder, stirred after listening to her songs, held her hands and told her that “There is devil in your singing voice.” Ruisi’s powerful singing voice touches the depths of our souls, and has been praised to be “one of the most beautiful singing voice on planet earth.”
The magical atmosphere and the exquisite performance of “Miling’an Musical Theater” has transformed Ruisi’s singing into an enchanting show. Her music blended with the new age cross-genre styles to depict the mythical fairytales, sometimes with pondering drums and epic vibes, other times with the deep and whimsical cello to present a picturesque imagery of the story.
This setup has made her show the best candidate for the endorsement event for Taiwan’s national treasures. As early as 2008, she was invited to perform in the opening ceremony for the exhibition of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien at the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. She has been well recognized by all walks of life as a proud representative of the refined Taiwanese culture.
