Welcome To Taiwan East Coast

With female lead singers, the band’s mission is to revive their legacy of traditional Ainu folk song “Upopo.” They overlap various melodic patterns, creating songs with rotating vocal parts that are characteristic similar to trans music, authentically representing Upopo, Ainu’s folk songs. They officially started international tours after releasing their first mini album “Marewrew” in early 2010. Their European tours have brought them onto various stages including globally renowned music festival Momad (UK); thus, they are known not only in Japan but also started gaining attention internationally. Marewrew means “butterfly” in Ainu.
